Snow layers and snow cover
It is generally rather snow-free, but snow has managed to accumulate on the sheltered sides of the mountains after prolonged northeasterly winds and snow showers. The snow has melted and settled lower down in the mountains. At the highest elevations there has been some additional accumulation, but snow has also subsided. No snow pits have been dug to assess stability, but it should be assumed that recent wind slabs may be unstable. New snow expected on Wednesday.
